It consists of manual massage or massage using mechanical aids. Both encourage the flow of lymph in the lymphatic channels which helps to remove fluid retention that accumulates in the interstitial spaces, encouraging the flow through the lymphatic vessels themselves.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Massages are applied from the periphery to the centre of the body to facilitate the draining effect of special valves (called swallow&#8217;s nest valves) present in lymphatic vessels.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the field of beauty care and especially in cases of water retention, it proves highly effective in reducing swelling, fighting cellulite, and is recommended in treating excess body fat and poor circulation. It also exfoliates and regenerates the skin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In medical rehabilitation support, lymphatic drainage proves helpful in the treatment of lymphedema of the arm, in women who have undergone radical mastectomies, and in some types of edema.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\"
